Nai-Chen Yeh, mentored by Prof. Wang, defended her thesis titled "Effects of transcranial direct current stimulation followed by upper body exercise on neuropathic pain in individuals with chronic spinal cord injury: a double-blinded randomized controlled trial" on 23th, January, 2019.

Congrats to Pei-Hsin Ku on passing her qualifying examinations!

January 20, 2019

Pei-Hsin Ku, mentored by Prof. Wang, has passed all the qualifying exams and completed a proposal presentation today with the study topic on "The effect of Ai Chi on balance and executive function—in chronic stroke and mild cognitive impairment" in 21st, Jan, 2019. Congrats for becoming a phD candidate!

Happy birthday, our beloved Prof. Yang!

January 08, 2019

It's Prof. Yang's birthday today!

She is a wonderful educator and mentor. Not only can she make every piece of difficult knowledge sound easy and clear, but also see through our strength and flaws in the research immediately! We love to seek her advice for professional work, and we love her advice for life even better!

Happy birthday to Prof. Yang!

A special talk given by Dr Shin-Yi Chiou: The cortical control of postural responses

December 25, 2018

Today's talk was delivered by Dr Chiou, who completed PhD in our lab in 2013. She first joined MSK lab, Department of Surgery and Cancer, Imperial College London, as a post-doctoral research associate. This year in May, she became a lecturer in the School of Sport, Exercise, and Rehabilitation Sciences at University of Birmingham.

Dr Chiou has shared a lot of eye-opening research with us from her career. Her research interests include the mechanisms underlying postural control and the relationships between structure and function of neural pathways using novel neuroimaging approaches. She related her work with the research topics of our lab and kindly shared many ideas.  We also enjoyed her stories and experience of life and work in the UK. It was a truly inspiring session.

Thank you Dr Chiou!
